Pack Light!

The last thing you want to do is overthink your Talon Lodge trip an over pack. The first thing that you need to know is Talon Lodge already has your all-weather gear (boots & rain gear) in your room waiting for you. We supply all of the fishing gear and tackle you need to have a successful fishing adventure. We also have a complete bar and vast wine list for your enjoyment while you are at the lodge. A couple of items you will want to remember:

Light Jacket or Wrap – The weather will range from 55 degrees to 75 degrees. A light jacket will prepare you for any night–time chill

Sweatshirt or Two – When you are on the water, you may want to layer up, underneath our gear. This will keep you warm while you are fishing.

Tee Shirts – you never know, you might get that beach weather Jeans – a couple pairs should do Warm Thick Socks – you will be wearing these when you wear your rubber boots

Camera – Alaska is amazing! You will want to make sure that you capture these memories with some great photos

Sunglasses – Yes, you will want sunglasses in Alaska. Especially on the water

Light Fishing Gloves – for some, they like to keep their fingers toasty on the boat

Motion Sickness Medication – Either pills or the Patch (need DR prescription). This is Alaska and weather is unpredictable. Our captains will do everything possible to keep your boat in the calmest water possible and still provide you with a great fishing experience. It always helps to come prepared.

Slippers or Indoor Shoes – Outdoor shoes are removed when you enter your guest room and the main dining room. It’s a good idea to have a pair of slippers or indoor shoes to wear while you are in the main dining room.
