1 lb king salmon, small dice
¼ red onion, small dice
8–10 sprigs chives, finely chopped
2–3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt, to taste
15–20 pani puri shells (available at Asian markets)
1 bottle Bloody Mary mix
1 tsp wasabi paste
¼ cup sour cream
Salmon is high in nutritional value
Prepare the Pani Puri
Deep fry pani puri shells until puffed and crisp.
Drain on paper towels and let cool.
Make the Bloody Mary Mix
In a small bowl, combine Bloody Mary mix, a pinch of sugar (optional for balance), and wasabi paste. Set aside.
Prepare the Poke
In a mixing bowl, combine diced salmon, red onion, chives, olive oil, and salt. Mix gently until well coated.
Assemble the Shooters
Crack a small hole in the top of each pani puri shell.
Fill with salmon poke mixture.
Spoon a splash of Bloody Mary mix into each shell.
Top with a small dollop of sour cream.
