All of the sportfishing guides at Talon Lodge are part of the team and are all experienced with fishing in Southeast Alaska. At Talon Lodge, we allow our guests to actually fish for salmon, with a rod and reel in their hands.  This technique is called Mooching and was first developed in the waters off of the Canadian coast. Our guide's experience ranges from 20-years to 7-years on the waters that surround Talon Lodge.

Talon Lodge provides all of the all-weather gear, boots and supplies needed for your Alaska sportfishing trip. The fishing vessels are all full-walkaround vessels and designed for fishing in Alaska.

The freshwater guides are also experienced with the streams and techniques that are unique to Southeast Alaska. Their goal is to allow you to experience the wonder of Alaska while at the same time put you onto the fish. Be prepared, the Alaska Brown Bear is also targeting the same fish.

Freshwater gear is also provided and includes fly fishing gear and spin-casting gear. Top-of-the-line waders and boots are also available.
